AI Chatbot

The same front office, in the chat window on your site.

What it does

What it does for your practice.

Most practice chatbots are a second system with a second brief, which is how a patient ends up with one answer in the chat window and a different one on the phone an hour later. Velaire's chat is not a separate bot. It runs the configuration your receptionist already runs, so it answers what your team agreed it can answer, hands over what your team agreed it cannot, and puts the request on the same list.

  • Same agent

Configure the front office once and the chat window inherits it. Nobody writes a second set of answers, and there is no second brief to drift out of date.

  • Same refusals

No symptom questions, no urgency, no medication. Those limits live with the agent, not in a chat setting somebody can loosen later.

  • One list

A chat that ends in a booking request lands on the morning list beside the calls. A widget with an inbox of its own is a widget nobody has opened since Tuesday.

  • Identifies itself

The chat identifies itself as automated in its first message, and a visitor can ask for a person at any point.

How it would run · On the roadmap

A visitor opens the chat window at half past nine at night.

The chat runs the configuration your receptionist already runs, so it answers what your team agreed it can answer and hands over what it cannot. A conversation that ends in a booking request lands on the morning list beside the calls.

01
Step 1Approve the front-office configuration once.
02
Step 2Decide what the chat hands to a person, and how.
03
Step 3Read chat requests on the same list as your calls.

Illustrative workflow. Configuration varies by practice.

Questions

AI Chatbot questions.

No. Voice is what runs today, and chat is on the roadmap. It is listed because it is scoped against the agent that already exists, not because it ships next month.
A general chatbot is briefed on your website. This one is briefed on your front office: your hours, your routing, the questions your team agreed it may answer, and the ones it has to hand over. Same brief as the phone, so the two cannot contradict each other.
No. It does not assess symptoms, decide how urgent someone is, or advise on medication. That is the same limit the phone agent has, and it is not configurable.
In the same record as a call, with the same detail: who it was, what they wanted, and how to reach them.
